Calling All Southern Californians: Take Part in an Industry Day of Action August 12 Attention all live events industry members in Southern California:

Join your colleagues in One Voice: A Day for Action in Los Angeles, August 12 from 5:30 - 8:30pm. Produced by Sterling Events, hosted by Live Events Coalition and California Events Coalition, and supported by National Independent Talent Organization, it is an automotive parade designed to joyfully represent the 12 million members of the industry, who are in a moment of crisis and great need.

A statement from the group notes: "We encourage all Southern California #eventprofs to participate! Spread the word, rally your troops, grab your team, put your hearts into this stand we are taking to advocate for our industry and show up BIG! We cannot wait to see all your many voices participate FROM YOUR CARS of course."

The plan is for cars to meet at Xbox Plaza at LA Live, 777 Chick Hearn Court, Los Angeles. Access Chick Hearn Court from South Figueroa Street. Drive in the far-right lane as you pass Xbox Plaza. The car caravan will head off from there.

Participants are encouraged to create inspiring signage, encourage your staff to join, honk your horn, and let your voice be heard.

As most people know, this is a crucial week in terms of getting effective legislation from the national government, so this event has the potential to raise the industry's profile at an important moment. The more, the merrier -- and the more meaningful.
