Atmosphere, Inc. Completes 10,000 EventsSilver Springs, Maryland-based Atmosphere, Inc. announces that on the week of October 1, 2012, they celebrated the completion of their 10,000th event. Atmosphere, Inc. began 17 years ago from a partnership between best friends Jay Snyder and Joe Scarnecchia, and over the years it has grown into a multi-million dollar full-service, special event, lighting production company. The business continues to thrive under a recently revamped management team, including Snyder and new partners Benji Tschudin and Andrew Platt. "When we started the company, we had two PRT trusses, a dimmer rack, a console, a couple Intellabeams, and an old Mercedes truck," reminisced Snyder. "For the first several years, we shared a one-bay warehouse with a local sound company. Back then we didn't have specific plans for growth. We just concentrated on providing the quality service that customers sought, and handled the growth as best we could. We invested in new equipment regularly, and moved four times in 12 years, each time more than doubling in size." Now occupying a 15,000-sq. ft. facility near the nation's capital, including warehouse, administrative office, support staff, and repair shop, Snyder's initial vision of a special event, lighting production company with a reputation for quality service has grown by leaps and bounds, currently working on over 800 events annually. "Sometimes I'm just blown-away at the volume we do, but we've developed our systems to handle fast turn-over." "I've always enjoyed being involved with high profile events, and working mostly in D.C. has given us countless opportunities. Lighting the President of the United States is always an honor, and always exciting, whether at a press conference, inaugural ball, or other function. We've provided lighting for so many incredible events over the years, including all types and sizes of corporate events, entertainment, and social events. I love the variety. It's been very fulfilling." Over the years, Atmosphere's client list has included some of the largest institutions in the D.C. area, as well as local, state, and federal government agencies, and many Fortune 500 companies. Atmosphere, Inc. also travels nationally for select clients, recently completing destination events in New York, Palm Beach, Denver, and Miami. As the company continues to grow, Snyder, Tschudin, and Platt agree that their focus remains providing personal service to all their clients, new and old. Snyder concluded, "From the beginning, we saw that what customers wanted most of all was reliable, consistent, professional service, and providing this has been our priority. And we know that our most important assets are the people we work with who share this attitude. I've always been proud of the company, and will always be appreciative of the people who have helped get us where we are today."
