d&b audiotechnik Adds Global Communication StrategistWith ISE just around the corner, d&b audiotechnik introduces the company's new PR manager, Uwe Horn. Horn joined d&b in December and will be based at the d&b headquarters in Backnang, Germany. He is responsible for corporate communications, trade press, and the global communications strategy. Horn holds a degree in business sciences, but his professional roots are very much in journalism, having started his career in the editorial team of a local newspaper. Since then, he has spent over a decade at Reader's Digest Germany as head of public relations, before moving to Porsche Consulting as head of marketing. Most recently he was the corporate communications team leader at medical device manufacturer Maquet in Germany. Horn's extensive background in public relations, and experience with both technical and high profile brands -- not to mention a passion for music and audio -- make him an ideal addition to the d&b team. Horn will join Sara Sowah and Adele Phillips at ISE, February 7 - 10. d&b will host sessions in presentation room E103 during ISE -- learn more about the next step in d&b system design -- the d&b Soundscape. Former director of Sydney Opera House, David Claringbold, will also present "Sound Futures" on behalf of d&b, in which he'll discuss the demand on modern venues to utilize 24/7, and how this drive is shaping new approaches to audio technology.
