Vari-Lite Shows Off Latest Console Solutions at LDI 2023Vari-Lite announces that they will be presenting several new console products at the LDI Show in Las Vegas, Nevada. New solutions that will be shown in the Vari-Lite booth at LDI include the recently launched Vari-Lite Neo X5 Console, a preview of the next-gen Neo X Server, and new updates to the Neo and ZerOS console software platforms. The Neo X5 Console is billed as a compact, high-performance 5-fader lighting console running the powerful Neo platform. "The Neo X15, the larger 15-fader member of the Neo X Series, launched at LDI 2022 to resounding success," says Jon Hole, global product manager, Vari-Lite Systems and Controls at Signify. "We are excited that the X5 console will also make its public trade show debut at LDI this year." The Neo X5 Console offers 5 multifunctional motorized playbacks, backlit encoders, and a built-in monitor as well as a soft touch control screen. The console includes an advanced effects engine that supports pixel mapping, media playback, timelines, and more and can output over 50,000 channels of DMX. In addition to the Neo X5 and X15, Vari-Lite will also be previewing the new Neo X Server at LDI 2023. Expected to launch next year, the Neo X Server includes the same power, features, and capabilities as the popular Neo X Series consoles in a standalone 2U rackmount device. The X Server offers 100 universes of control out of the box, is easily controlled with touch monitor, a mouse and keyboard, or using the Neo iOS app, and can be used by itself in architainment applications or paired with a Neo X Series console for tracking backup. Also debuting at LDI are new software updates for Vari-Lite's Neo and ZerOS console platforms. The new Neo 4.1.1 update will be shown on the premium Neo X Series consoles, while the 7.14.1 update for ZerOS will be shown on Vari-Lite's easy-to-use FLX Series consoles. Both releases are expected the first half of December. In addition to the capture visualization, PDF viewer with cue markup, effect masters, and other enhancements previously announced in Neo 4.1, the new 4.1.1 update includes over a hundred enhancements to the user experience, including updates to CUE UNDO, improved media playback capabilities in Matrix effects (which can be seen in a demo on the LDI stand, featuring a Color Kinetics Luminous Textile panel), and more. The new ZerOS 7.14.1 update offers over 50 enhancements to the user experience, the company says, including updates to playbacks, improvements to ZerOS's fully automated move-on-dark capabilities between nonsequential cues, and more. Vari-Lite will be in Booth #577 at LDI Show 2023, which is in Las Vegas, Nevada, from December 3 - December 5.
