At that cue, the column opened in less than ten seconds to reveal the bright, vivid 138" display to show live on-field commentator analysis and player interviews. The 2013 FIFA Confederations Cup was the ninth FIFA Confederations Cup, held in Brazil from June 15 - 30, 2013 as a prelude to the 2014 FIFA World Cup. The most recent winners of the six continental championships participated in this tournament, along with host country Brazil and UEFA Euro 2012 runner-up Italy. Host team Brazil defended their title for the fourth time in the Confederations Cup with a 3-0 victory over Spain in the final game.
