SGM Light Appoints Matt Guminski to Lead Designer Relations for SGM North America

SGM Light announces the appointment of Matt Guminski to lead designer relations for SGM North America. This move aims to enhance and expand SGM's role as an essential and versatile lighting solution for professionals in the live event design and entertainment and touring industries, the company says. The development of this new Designer Relations position also aims to drive forward SGM Light's mission to innovate and excel in lighting fixture design and innovation.

In this new role, Guminski will be a valuable resource amongst peers in the live event design community to help create awareness of SGM product features and technologies such as DynaMix, VersaPath, and DryTech, how they function and where they are best utilized as solutions in the nature that live production warrants.

Guminski brings over 20 years of experience in lighting/production design, direction, and programming for concert touring, theatre, dance, live/corporate events, cruise ships, architectural entertainment, and fashion shows. His expertise and vision have led to groundbreaking work in various prestigious projects which have set industry standards for creativity and technical excellence.

Recording artists design and direction credits include The Cult, Alice in Chains, MisterWives, Evanescence, Tesla, Neon Trees, JoJo, Jon Bellion, Bush, Young the Giant, Nick Jonas and CeeLo Green. In addition to many regional theatrical design credits, his work has been seen at New York Fashion Week, Red Carpet Premiers, CES, the LA Auto Show, and select Royal Caribbean cruise ships.

Guminski is an eight time recipient of the New Hampshire Theatre Award for Best Professional Lighting Design, A PLSN 2020 Parnelli NextGen finalist, and a 2020 Live Design Achievement Award finalist.

As Guminski steps into his new role, he will remain dedicated to serving the live events community as a lighting and production designer, continuing to produce innovative and impactful visual experiences worldwide.
