The honors are presented each year in recognition of long-term contributions to American musical culture, the idea of music education for all children, and the need to protect creators' rights both locally and internationally. Both the Smart Women in Music SWIM Meet and RPMDA Welcome Reception will take place on Wednesday, July 14 in the late afternoon, and NAMM Young Professionals will gather on Friday, July 16.
