Shure Announces Abby Kaplan's Appointment to the Consumer Technology Association Board of Industry Leaders Abby Kaplan, vice president, global retail sales at Shure has been elected to the Consumer Technology Association (CTA) Board of Industry Leaders (BIL). The Board is comprised of esteemed industry leaders who represent the next generation of innovation within consumer electronics. The role of the BIL is to advise the CTA Executive Board, supporting public policy and association activities. Kaplan is the vice president, global retail sales of Shure Incorporated headquartered in Niles, Illinois. She has been with the company for more than 20 years and has held several roles during her tenure from regional sales manager all the way up to VP where she oversees retail sales channels globally. Shure began its journey in the audio industry in 1925 as a radio parts supplier and has grown over the past 95 years to a global supplier of wireless microphones, wired microphones, headphones, earphones, and audio products for conferencing. Kaplan is involved with various committees within Shure to lead governance and strategy in the Musician and Consumer Audio vertical market. She graduated from Chaminade University of Honolulu with a Bachelor's degree in Communications. As a member of the BIL, Kaplan will represent Shure and her presence will bring considerable knowledge of the global consumer electronic and retail landscape to help drive forward the Association's mission, the company says. She will sit on the board until December 2023. During that time Kaplan will specifically focus on supporting public policy and association activities.
