Tony Award Winners Announced

The Tony Awards, which honor achievement in the Broadway theatre, which given out last night.

In the scenic design categories Bob Crowley won for the musical Once and Donyale Werle won for the play Peter and the Starcatcher. Costume design awards went to Gregg Barnes for the revival of the musical Follies and Paloma Young for Peter and the Starcatcher. Lighting design nods went to Natasha Katz for Once and Jeff Croiter for Peter and the Starcatcher. Sound design awards went to Clive Goodwin for Once and Darron L. West for Peter and the Starcatcher.

The big winner at the Tonys was Once, which took a total of eight awards, with Peter and the Starcatcher winning five. The award for best play went to Bruce Norris' Clybourne Park.
