Chappel and Gardner, Constable, and Murray Take Outer Critics Circle Design Winners The Outer Critics Circle Awards, which honor achievement in the New York theatre, were given out yesterday. (The Outer Critics Circle is an organization of critics and journalists who cover the New York theatre for out-of-town publications.) Winners in the design categories were Tim Chappel and Lizzy Gardner for the costumes in Priscilla, Queen of the Desert, Paul Constable for the lighting of War Horse, and Neil Murray for the scenery of Brief Encounter.
