MediaMatrix Kiosk2Go Awarded "Audio Product of the Year" at 2014 AV AwardsPeavey Commercial Audio's MediaMatrix Kiosk2Go software application was awarded Audio Product of the Year at the 2014 AV Awards ceremony in London. "We faced significant competition from the other product finalists," said James Kennedy, Peavey Commercial Audio's operations director for EMEA. "We are very honored that the judges recognized the power, convenience, and value in the Kiosk2Go application." Joining Kennedy for the awards were Mark Coombes, sales director for EMEA, and Shayne Thomas, global marketing manager. Kiosk2Go is the world's first drag and drop programming interface application for creating custom control and monitoring interfaces for digital audio systems via mobile devices. The interface allows programmers to use supplied graphics elements or import their own graphics files and photos to create fully customized user interfaces, and map functions to those controls in the MediaMatrix NWare software. The custom interfaces are then served out to mobile devices via their integrated web browsers and HTML 5.0. The powerful and popular NION and nControl family of digital audio distribution, processing, and control products now provide custom control and monitoring via NWare and any iOS, Android, Blackberry, Linux, or Windows mobile or smart device. Kiosk2Go is now included in the MediaMatrix NWare software application, and is available for download from mm.peavey.com. "Kiosk2Go is yet another example of Peavey innovation," commented Hartley Peavey, CEO and founder of Peavey Electronics Corporation. "We will celebrate our 50th anniversary in 2015. During those 50 years Peavey has earned more than 180 patents. Peavey created the distributed DSP market in 1993 with the introduction of MediaMatrix. Now, after more than 20 years of being the most specified and installed DSP product in the world, MediaMatrix remains the most innovative product in the audio industry. We are honored that our most recent addition, Kiosk2Go, was recognized at the 2014 AV Awards as their Audio Product of the Year." "We are extremely proud of this accomplishment, and of our group of talented engineers who made this idea a reality," added Kevin Ivey, general manager of Peavey Commercial Audio. "The market has responded positively to this idea of extending wireless control via HTML 5.0 and any browser, and we are honored to be recognized with this award. We are excited about the next generation of MediaMatrix, which will embody many of the emerging technologies to keep its position as the most powerful and flexible digital audio solution available." In 2012, Peavey Commercial Audio received the award for "Audio Installation of the Year" for the MediaMatrix installation at the Qatar National Convention Center. In last year's AV Awards, Peavey Commercial Audio was named a finalist for Audio Product of the Year for the Digitool MX16 multichannel digital audio processor. The AV Awards are sponsored by AV Magazine, and were established to recognize and reward excellence across the audio visual industry. The awards are open to any company in the AV industry across Europe. Entries are judged by a panel of senior representatives from user companies and key industry players, and are recognized for achievement that benefits the AV market clients and users and demonstrates technical innovation and creative solutions to communications problems. This year's ceremony marked the 16th year the awards have been given.
