Webcast Interview with Richard Pilbrow, Theatrical Lighting Design LegendRichard Pilbrow, widely recognized as the father of contemporary theatre lighting design and theatre design consulting, will be featured in a free, exclusive webcast interview presented by the URL listed below. The webcast is designed to be entertaining and educational for performing arts teachers/students, working professionals in live theatre, plus anyone interested in a career in live production. Historic theatre photos from Pilbrow's interactive digital book A Theatre Project (published by PLASA Media) will also be featured in the webcast. Registrants for the event can submit questions in advance for Pilbrow. The webcast will be released September 10 via an email to all registrants with a link to both the webcast and a written transcript of the interview. The webcast is the inaugural event in a series of interviews designed to interactively connect Rubbing Elbows members with movers and shakers in the field of live production. The series not only allows viewers to learn from theatre experts at the top of their game -- people they would otherwise be unlikely to connect with -- but it is also a way to learn about the many career opportunities in live theatre and how to best prepare for them. Founded in late 2013, Rubbing Elbows is an educational membership site and service of Pacific Northwest Theatre Associates (PNTA), a live production product and service provider. Rubbing Elbows services include monthly expert interview webcasts; video workshops; introductory primers, how-to videos and vendor demos about theatrical equipment; member-collaboration forums (including the ability to sell/buy/trade/donate used theatrical equipment); and a breaking-news blog.
