Elation Co-Sponsoring 2014 Worship Arts Technology Summit (WATS)

Elation Professional will again be a co-sponsor of this year's Worship Arts Technology Summit (WATS) together with Yamaha, Shure, and Elite Core. The first WATS seminar of 2014 will take place in Traverse City, Michigan, June 27 - 28 with subsequent seminars scheduled for September 19 - 20 in Ridgecrest, North Carolina, and October 17 - 18 in San Antonio, Texas.

WATS provides training and instruction in a full range of worship disciplines, offered in one location by experienced instructors. WATS is training-based and Elation's sponsorship marks a further piece in the Elation Educational Experience (E3) program, a continuing commitment to give back to the industry through educational events that brings design methodologies, new technology, and real world practice to lighting designers.

WATS training events are offered across five tracks -- musician, media, audio, lighting, and vocal. For the Traverse City lighting track, Elation's Ray Villasenor will draw on his many years of experience working with houses of worship (HOW) to show how to effectively and creatively use professional design concepts to light all areas of a HOW facility. Topics covered will include general principles in lighting design and how to apply that design theory to the worship environment; lighting control via DMX, LED, and energy efficient lighting technologies; LED video walls; and lighting maintenance. Hands-on training with Elation's LED and Platinum technologies will help familiarize participants with today's lighting tools and help build the confidence that can only come from real world experience.
