Barco Wins Awards and Rave Reviews at InfoComm for New Collaboration and Rental and Staging Solutions

Barco's ClickShare full-featured wireless presentation system for high-profile meeting rooms and boardrooms

Barco, a global provider of visualization and collaboration technology, made an impact at this year's InfoComm, capturing several top honors and numerous accolades for its newest solutions for corporate meeting rooms, classrooms, and live events.

ClickShare continues to be a fan favorite among customers, partners, and the industry at large, winning the rAVe "Readers' Choice" award for the second time. Fans celebrated the third anniversary of the one-click wonder at the Belgian Beer Bar.

InfoComm attendees were also wowed by its new and enhanced features, chiefly the new AirPlay capability which enables full mirroring from iOS-powered smartphones and tablets to the main meeting room display. "With AirPlay now available on ClickShare, we can fully support the 'Bring Your Own Device (BYOD)' trend to make this tool an even more inclusive technology," comments Patrick Lee, vice president entertainment & corporate for Barco.

The Laser phosphor projector won Commercial Integrator's "Best Conference/Classroom Projector" award. The quietest laser projector on the market, the new PGWU-62L laser phosphor projector is ideal for small- to mid-size meeting rooms, it features 6,000 lumens brightness to deliver sharp and brilliant color performance, offering single-chip DLP reliability rolled into a lightweight, compact model. Its 20,000 hour laser-diode lifetime makes it a long-lasting, economical investment.

Interactive meeting room platform wins AV Technology "Best of Show" Barco's brand new, efficiency-boosting NRC-200 interactive platform and room compositor for meeting collaboration made its debut at InfoComm, generating excitement for its ability to "...add additional functionality to ClickShare, while also facilitating a range of collaboration products," as expressed by one of the competition's judges. The interactive meeting room platform won AV Technology's "Best of Show" award.

The E2 won "Best Video/Broadcast Product" from Rental & Staging Systems. The E2 4K screen management system, the flagship product of the Event Master series, impressed hundreds of visitors at the Barco booth as well as the judges of Rental & Staging Systems. Offering exceptional input/output density, the E2 is also the only screen management system that can deliver a 4K projector blend with up to 60Hz refresh rates.

Barco also unveiled its newest members of the series, the S3-4K compact processor -- aka the E2's smaller sidekick -- and the EC-50 compact event controller. Both bring unparalleled flexibility, excellent image quality, and rugged durability to create a stunning live experience in a small footprint.

The XHD-400 projection mapping tool won "Best Media Server" from Commercial Integrator. An easy-to-use, end-to-end visualization solution for large-scale multimedia and projection mapping shows, the XHD-400 media server series makes event automation and preview a snap, covering the entire video workflow from design to operation.

The real-time visual communications platform won Commercial Integrator "Best Digital Signage Software" award. Designed to transform enterprises into digital workplaces, the X2O Connected Desktop with Collaboration App is a new desktop application that allows users to view dynamic channels on their desktop, receive real-time alerts, and create a whole new way to interact by sharing and collaborating on channels via a shared virtual workspace.

The Sheraton Waikiki Resort won Commercial Integrator's "Best Resort Project." Barco also supplied its large venue projectors for the first-ever, permanent swimming pool projection mapping show at the Sheraton Waikiki Resort in Honolulu, Hawaii. Spearheaded by PointCloud Media, the project is powered by Barco's HDQ-2K40 and HDX-W20 FLEX projectors.

This project is just one of many projection mapping shows featuring Barco projection in recent months, including the Anheuser-Busch Oculto Campaign in Miami, Daimler Trucks North America at the Hoover Dam, and Festival of Lights in France.
