API's 512v Honored at the NAMM Show

API's 512v Mic/Line Preamp, which debuted just a few months ago at AES in California, recently earned the prestigious NAMM TEC Award in the Signal Processing Hardware (500 Series) category.

The module already had an award under its belt, previously winning the Preamp category in the 2016 Resolution Awards, which recognizes outstanding quality and innovation in professional audio.

It seems praise for API's 512 Mic Preamps keeps on coming, as the 512c was just named one of the best mic preamps for recording vocals by Sweetwater's Lynn Fuston.

"If you need a vocal sound that is crisp and clear, very forward and in-your-face, then an API preamp is what you're looking for," says Fuston in his review.
