4Wall Los Angeles Dances with JUMP4Wall Los Angeles recently provided lighting for the largest dance convention in the world, JUMP. Produced by Break the Floor Productions, JUMP is currently touring 25 cities in the United States as well as 10 international cities. Each show is attended by, on average, 1,200 dancers who take classes from world-renowned choreographers. Each event also features a dance competition where local dance studios and dance groups can compete for prizes. In addition to the large number of performers, this year's JUMP LA featured crowds of over 3,000 spectators -- typical attendance for a stop on the JUMP tour. To make sure each performer inside the Hyatt Regency's ballroom venue shined in the best light, Break the Floor's production executive Jeff Stroming chose a lighting package from 4Wall that included Martin MAC 700 Profiles and MAC 250 Entours. He also added Chroma-Q Color Force 72" LEDs and Color Kinetics ColorBlast 12 LEDs to provide wash and color. In addition, the set also required over 400' of Tomcat Truss. Stroming spoke of using 4Wall across the country for Break the Floor events, which have grown in tour schedule by 300 percent during the past six years: "4Wall has provided us with supplemental lighting and rigging equipment for many of our events. All of the different locations have worked with us to help make our shows successful." See 4Wall at PLASA Focus: Nashville, July 11-12.
