New Orleans' Gary Solomon, Jr. Featured on Inc. Magazine's 30-Under-30 ListGary Solomon, Jr., president of the New Orleans-based company Solomon Group, was named to Inc.'s prestigious "30 Under 30: World's Coolest Young Entrepreneurs" list for 2013. The national magazine publishes the list of "most promising young entrepreneurs" annually. Fellow 30-Under-30 recipients have included the twenty-somethings behind some of the world's most successful, cutting-edge brands, including Pinterest, Spotify, and Instagram. "Gary is in very good company," said Donna Fenn, senior editor of Inc.'s 30-Under-30 list. "His company's use of the latest-and-greatest technologies to beat out larger, more established competitors for major business is why he first stood out -- then we got a look at their work!" Solomon beat out more than 650 applicants from around the world who vie for the honor of having their name added to the exclusive list. "It's statistically easier to get into Harvard than 30-Under-30," Fenn continued. "Our judges had quite a task on their hands; each year the nominations seem to be more and more impressive." Solomon Group, founded by Solomon with partners Steve Fink and Jonathan Foucheaux in 2009, is a New Orleans-based company that creates immersive, audience-centric experiences. Their work can be seen across the country and includes the exterior lighting system on the Mercedes-Benz Superdome, the new USS Tang exhibit at The National WWII Museum, and live broadcast environments for CBS's coverage of the Final Four and Super Bowl 2013. Solomon Group is currently gearing up for their first year producing the Essence Music Festival. "I'm honored to have been considered, let alone to have actually made the list!" said Solomon. "Our team is trying to revolutionize the way people experience their surroundings, and it is rewarding to be acknowledged for our work by such an esteemed publication as Inc." Solmon is featured in the current issue of Inc., which hits the stands this week. The list can also be viewed online at the URL below.
