EM Acoustics Makes NAMM Debut at Loudspeaker System Showcase

EM Acoustics will demonstrate the compact HALO-C (right) line array, the self-powered ESP-8 two-way coaxial loudspeaker (middle), and ESP-15S subwoofer (left) during the NAMM showcase demos.

UK-based EM Acoustics is making its first appearance at the upcoming NAMM Show in Anaheim, California, January 24 - 27. The loudspeaker manufacturer is participating in the Loudspeaker System Showcase held in the Anaheim Convention Center Arena and can be found at booth 18600 in the pro audio hall.

"The loudspeaker system showcase -- which provides attendees with the opportunity to listen to an assortment of loudspeaker systems -- is the ideal venue to make our NAMM debut," explains Ed Kinsella, director, EM Acoustics. "During the showcase we are pleased to demonstrate the ultra-compact HALO-C line array as well as the self-powered ESP Series. HALO-C has already found its way into numerous performing arts venues, theaters, and churches across Europe and we are confident it will have the same impact in the States. The ESP Series is equally at home as a portable system or distributed in larger spaces, providing unusual fidelity from a small enclosure."

HALO-C delivers the same sonic performance that the company's original HALO system was known for in a very compact footprint. The loudspeaker is capable of continuous sound pressure levels in excess of 120dB it is an ideal solution for small-to-medium theatres, houses of worship, conference, and corporate AV and even small to medium scale live sound reinforcement.

Much of the system's fidelity is due to a true plane wave output waveguide that provides seamless array integration. Each HALO-C box provides a consistent 95-degree horizontal dispersion pattern and offers an integral four-point flying system that supports up to 24 elements with 10:1 safety factor.

"The self-powered ESP-8 is small enough to be discreet in use, yet has an output that defies its size," adds Kinsella. "The onboard amplification and DSP package make the compact loudspeaker completely self-contained. The ESP-8 -- or the ESP-12 for that matter -- when paired with the ESP-15S subwoofer, is ideal for small front-of-house duties to speech reinforcement, front fill or compact stage monitoring. I think listeners will be impressed with both demonstrations."

The companion ESP-15S is a compact, versatile self-powered subwoofer, designed to complement the ESP-8 and ESP-12 self-powered loudspeakers. The sub has a high output to size ratio and extends ESP systems LF response to 45Hz. The onboard amplification and DSP package make the ESP-15S completely self-contained in a lightweight enclosure.

EM Acoustics will present three 20-minute product demonstrations during the show. The demos are in the Anaheim Arena on Thursday, January 24 at 1:40pm, Friday, January 25 at 4:40pm, and Saturday, January 26 at 10:40am. Their products will also be presented during the Round Robin Showcase demos that are scheduled at 11:00am, 2:00pm, and 5:00pm each day of the showcase. Members of the EM Acoustics team will also be available at booth #18600 in the pro audio hall.
