ESTA Says Thank You to Lori Rubinstein

Lori Rubinstein

The executive director for the Entertainment Services and Technology Association (ESTA) for the past 31 years, Lori Rubinstein, stepped down at the end of 2018. Rubinstein started as a volunteer as the association was being formed as the Theatrical Dealers Association and guided the TDA, then ESTA, to grow, actively engage volunteers, and create valuable programs that benefit the entire industry today. ESTA, under Rubinstein's leadership, is responsible for the ANSI-approved Technical Standards Program, the Entertainment Technology Certification Program (ETCP), the Production Equipment Rental Group (for the film/video rental companies) and Rental Guard (the fraud and theft protection network), International Code of Practice for Entertainment Rigging (ICOPER), and the Behind the Scenes Foundation, among other important programs. Rubinstein has now moved to focus exclusively on Behind the Scenes.
