Schertler Announces Price Reduction for DYN SeriesSchertler, Swiss manufacturer of contact microphones and acoustic amplification systems, is pleased to announce a global price reduction on its DYN series of professional microphones, due to more economical manufacturing costs. Schertler DYN microphones are popular with both sound engineers and artists due to their extremely natural sound reproduction. Designed for a range of performance and recording applications, the DYN series includes instrument-specific, high-quality contact microphones for violin/viola, cello, double bass, harp, guitar, mandolin, ethnic percussion, upright and grand pianos. Spearheading the series is the flagship A-DYN universal sensor, suitable for use with any acoustic instrument. This microphone is available both as a standalone unit and as part of the A-DYN-SET that includes a high-quality preamplifier. DYN microphones can be safely fitted to the body of even the most expensive instrument, and easily moved between instruments during a performance or recording session. Balanced XLR connectors enable direct connection to microphone inputs on mixing consoles. The microphones also work effectively through full-range amplification systems such as Schertler's Classic and Deluxe ranges. "More affordable production facilities have now enabled our manufacturing costs to be reduced and we are pleased to be able to pass this price reduction on to the customer," says Drago Dujak, Schertler's international sales manager. "We would however stress that although more cost-effective to manufacture, the quality of our DYN series will remain exactly the same -- 100% Swiss made!"
