Techni-Lux to Host Technology Day Open House Techni-Lux, in its 34th year in operation, will be hosting its fifth technology fair and open house. Guests will have an opportunity to go hands-on with dozens of products, vendors, and exhibits for entertainment lighting, video, and special effects used for creating immersive environments. When: Thursday January 9 Where: Techni-Lux. 10900 Palmbay Drive, Orlando, Florida Time: 10am to 6pm Highlights include industry seminars with Richard Cadena, ETCP RT/CEE and ATP author, on such topics as clean power and battery powering your show; Nick Comis, projection designer on pixel-mapping projections; and a panel discussion on selecting the "right" light. The company's technical department will offer class sessions throughout the day: Lighting Care & Maintenance 101 by Lisa Hansen and Basic DMX Systems with Gary Douglas of Interactive Technologies. Also featured will be facility tours and an exhibit area showcasing new product lines and the chance to interact with manufacturer representatives. "This year Techni-Lux will focus its Technology Day on making our visitors aware of our large on-hand inventory and overall capabilities," states Alex Gonzalez, VP. "Many only know us for a few things and not the extensive variety of products and brands we handle. It surprises me when I let someone know about something we have in stock or can even custom-make that they didn't realize we offer. In addition to featuring a lot of new products, hands-on exhibits, several special guests, lunch, and education courses, we will be further highlighting our company's unique abilities and wide range of inventory. "Since the last Technology Day, we have added over ten product brands. Among those is Showven, inventor of the 'cold' spark units. Because of the nature of these effects, they are rarely shown at 'traditional convention center trade shows,' so we will have a complete functional display of all their machines and you will be able to see them fully in action." The open house and exhibits will be free, but registration is requested, including all seminars and classes, on a first-come, first-serve basis. Save time, pre-register online. Snacks and beverages will be served along with lunch from noon to 2pm. For more detailed information and to register for the event visit: www.techni-lux.com/Section/Information/OpenHouseEvent2025.
