Starlight Express Dominates WhatsOnStage Awards

This year's WhatsOnStage Awards, held February 9, were dominated by the current revival of the Andrew Lloyd Webber musical Starlight Express. The awards honor achievement in the London theatre scene.

In the design categories, costume designer Gabriella Slade, lighting designer Howard Hudson, video designer Andrezj Goulding, scenic designer Tim Hatley, and wig, hair, and makeup designers all won for Starlight Express. Sound designer Gareth Fry won for a revival of Macbeth.

Starlight Express also won the award for best musical revival; performer Jeevan Braich, was cited for best professional debut.
