Alcons Audio to Exhibit at USITTAlcons Audio will enjoy a significant presence at the United States Institute for Theatre Technology (USITT) Annual Conference and Stage Expo in March, with a range of products on display and demonstration, followed by a special SMAART training session. The event is being held at the Delta Center in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, from March 20-23, with Alcons exhibiting at the Stage Expo on booth 1130. Making its US trade show debut will be the new, award-winning BC332 compact cardioid subwoofer, with many other Alcons systems also on show. These will include the new Sentinel four channel amplified loudspeaker controller, the LR7 micro pro-ribbon line-array, and the QR36 pro-ribbon line-source column. USITT's Innovation Gallery is a showcase of the newest technologies featured on the Stage Expo floor. Here Alcons will be showcasing the new QR24 compact pro-ribbon line-source column. A 20-minute presentation about the QR24's advanced technology will be made on the Innovation Stage on Friday, March 22, at 12:10pm. Additionally, Alcons products will feature at a day-long training seminar before the beginning of the main USITT event. Pat Brown of Synergetic Audio Concepts will be using an Alcons VR8 and BF151 system for a presentation on the basics of audio theory, which takes place March 19. After the USITT Expo, Alcons will host a special two-day training class in the use of SMAART. Presented by Jamie Anderson, a noted expert on its use, the specialized event will feature one-and-a-half days of Smaart training and half-a-day of practical tuning of a recent Alcons installation into a working college theatre space. The Smaart session takes place on March 25-26 at the DeWitt Center, Hope College in Holland, Michigan.
