Mountain Productions' 33rd Annual Columbus McKinnon Hoist School Continues Legacy of ExcellenceMountain Productions will close registration soon for their 33rd Annual Columbus McKinnon Hoist School, set to be held from February 19 through February 24, 2017. Established in 1985, Mountain Productions' Hoist School is dedicated to preparing the industry's next best talent for the future of entertainment rigging. The program was founded on the belief that success lies in safe, efficient, and proper handling of equipment and in-depth, hands-on training for employees and crews. This year's event will feature seminars in hoist maintenance, proper rigging techniques, motor control, and fall protection, among other topics, along with discussions from the industry's most influential leaders. Among those scheduled to lead the classrooms are Eric Rouse, head trainer for The Chicago Flyhouse; Dave Carmack, lead trainer with Columbus McKinnon; and Mike Webb, motor control expert with Motion Laboratories. Mountain Productions will also be hosting a variety of vendors throughout the week-long training that will showcase some of the latest, most essential production equipment to the class. Registration for this event can be completed online, at HoistSchool.com, and includes enrollment in all courses, luxury lodging at the Mohegan Sun Casino, free access to CM's Online Lodestar Maintenance Training, a discount code for Mountain Productions' online rigging shop and lunches, dinners, and a brewery tour of Susquehanna Brewing Company.
