Valamar Girandella Resort Enjoys the Sound of Community and Apart Loudspeakers Indoors and Out HUST d.o.o. has installed over 1,000 Apart and Community loudspeakers in the new audio and video systems it provided for the Valamar Girandella Resort. The resort complex, located in Rabac on the beautiful Adriatic coast of northern Croatia, comprises the Girandella Family Hotel, the Girandella Maro Suites -- Kinderhotel, the Girandella adult hotel, the Girandella Premium Villas, the Bellevue Hotel, and the Sundance Beach Club. In the system design, HUST chose Apart loudspeakers for high quality background music zones, while Community loudspeakers were used for AV and conferencing and in the pool areas where reliable all-weather capability was essential. To ensure maximum versatility the complex has over forty independent audio zones, which can be further divided into separate areas in several facilities. To provide this level of zoning, and control with ease of use, HUST installed a Biamp TesiraFORTÉ system with Tesira TEC-1s Ethernet control units and multiple PCs providing a simple, intuitive interface. In the resort's two multimedia conference rooms, HUST provided ScreenLine motorized screens and Epson projectors. Each room is fitted with four Community V2-28 dual 8" compact two-way loudspeakers, with four VLF208LV dual 8" low profile subwoofers adding extended low frequency and impact. The main area of the Sundance Beach Club is fully open air and required a powerful system that could withstand all-year exposure to any weather. For this area HUST used a proven outdoor solution of 12 Community W2-218 8" compact premium performance loudspeakers, supplemented by six W2-112 12" subwoofers. Additional outdoor fill is provided by Community DS8 loudspeakers. The pool zone of the Bellevue hotel also required an all-weather solution and HUST again used Community's W2-218 loudspeakers to provide quality audio, even coverage, and durability.
