Texas Scenic Company Announces Personnel ChangesSteve Surratt, Texas Scenic company general manager, has announced several personnel changes. Paul Copenhaver joins the company to handle sales and design for the Houston area. He brings to the job 13 years of experience in technical theatre, management, and production. His work experience includes positions at the Berry Center, Cypress High School, Stagecraft Institute, StageLight, Inc. and Cirque du Soleil. Copenhaver has a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Theatre from Sam Houston State University. Joining the company as National Rigging Inspector is Jyle Nogee. He has more than 15 years experience designing, specifying, and inspecting theatre rigging systems. His experience includes work with Peter George Associates, Auerbach Pollock Friedlander, and Theatre Design Services LLC. He is an ETCP Certified Rigger - Theatre and is currently participating in the PLASA Technical Standards Rigging Working Group. Nogee has extensive experience as a practicing theatre and arena rigger and has a MFA from Carnegie Mellon University. The new Project Manager for the Southeast region is Mark Winger. He comes to TSC from LLT Building Corporation in Tallahassee, where he worked as assistant project manager and IT manager. He has a Bachelor of Science from Florida State University College of Business. Larry Alonso has been promoted to project manager for the Houston area. He has been the lead crew chief at TSC for 14 years. "All of us at TSC are excited about the new additions to the staff and are confident that their expertise will contribute to the continuing success of our company," Surratt says.
