LDR's Alba 200W LED Profile Spotlight Exhibiting at PLASA 2012 as First Major Order is Delivered to EstoniaItalian theatre lighting company LDR announces that their largest single order for ALBA 200W LED zoom profile spotlights to date is for the Vanemuine Theatre in Tartu, Estonia. Local distributor E&T Ltd is currently upgrading The Grand Building, the largest of the theatre's three venues, with a total of 52 of LDR's new high-power LED spotlights. This follows the installation of LDR's conventional TH spotlights in the theatre's mid-sized venue in 2010. E&T's project manager, Olev Luhaäär, explained, "The theatre technicians have been very satisfied with the quality and design of the LDR spotlights and the service we can provide locally, so we were pleased when they considered similar LDR spotlights for The Grand Building, but using the latest technology light source." The Alba is based on LDR's popular range of 1,000/1,200W tungsten halogen "Nota" zoom profiles that includes zoom ranges of 8-22 degrees, 18-36 degrees, and 30-55 degrees. A new 200W LED engine has been designed to take advantage of the high-spec double condenser zoom optical system that gives exceptionally clean gobo projection. The Alba range is available with either a 3,200K or 5,600K LED white light source, and is fitted with an integral PWM dimmer. LDR's Lisa Papi said, "We are delighted that the Alba has been chosen for The Grand Building in Tartu, and we are pleased to hear that a second batch of 20 Albas has been ordered for the Ugala theatre in Viljandi, also in Estonia." LDR will be showing Alba LED profiles at PLASA 2012, along with a selection of its extensive range of theatre and architectural lighting products. The Alba has also been nominated for a PLASA 2012 Innovation Award. LDR is distributed in the US by Strong Entertainment Lighting.
