Elation Sponsoring Stage Lighting Super Saturday February 1 in New YorkElation is sponsoring the upcoming Stage Lighting Super Saturday in New York City, taking place Saturday, February 1st at the NYC College of Technology, home to the renowned City Tech Entertainment Technology program. The all-day seminar includes practical hands-on educational presentations and workshops led by active members of the theatrical lighting community. One of the benefits of attending the workshops is the chance to visit with equipment manufacturers in the manufacturers' showcase, where Elation will be demonstrating lighting techniques using some of its latest lighting innovations. "Stage Lighting Super Saturday is a great opportunity to introduce our brand to a whole new generation of aspiring lighting professionals," comments Elation marketing and sales director Eric Loader. "We always enjoy meeting passionate young talent in our industry. Every lighting designer started somewhere. Investing in young design talent is an important part of our work, one that pays dividends not only for Elation but for the industry as a whole." The popular event, now in its fifteenth year, is designed for stage and event designers in both entertainment and architectural lighting and covers the methods and equipment used to create effective and inspirational visual environments. Faculty include Tony Award Winning designers Jennifer Tipton, Natasha Katz, and Ken Billington; authors Vickie Claiborne and John Huntington; and lighting professionals Chip Scott, Marc Polimeni, Chad Tiller, Gary Fails, Steve Shorts, Stephen Jones, and Scott C. Parker. Both aspiring and experienced stage and event designers are invited to join the unique event.
