ADAM Audio Introduces S Control Remote Software and Launches V1.2 DSP Firmware Update for S Series Range

ADAM Audio S-Control remote control software

ADAM Audio announces the introduction of their new S Control remote control software for their flagship range of S Series speakers, which allows Adam customers to remotely control all user parameters and EQ settings on the powerful S Series DSP platform via a Windows or macOS computer. As the new software also enables DSP firmware updates for the S Series speakers at the touch of a button, the company is pleased to announce the launch of the first DSP Firmware Update, V1.2, delivering on the promise of the S Series DSP as a platform which offers constant innovation. Both the new software and firmware are available to download free of charge to registered Adam Audio users on the new MyAdam section of the company website.

The new S Control software features an intuitive graphic user interface that can display all editable parameters at once on a computer display, with individually adjustable software controls for each. A USB connection to the computer-based remote control software, allows the updates and enables voicing adjustments or preset selection to be carried out without the need to access the rear panel of the monitors -- a useful option particularly if they are soffit-mounted. S Control offers a quick way to set up, edit, store, and recall the user-adjustable parameters of the S Series speakers, so users can now sit at their mix position and adjust the sonic characteristics of their speakers with the powerful DSP control inside every S Series speaker. Users can store their preferred preset information on their computers and recall it for future use, permitting the use of more than the maximum of five built-in presents that can be held in the loudspeaker's internal memory. And S Control users will be assured to have all the latest updates from Adam Audio going forward.

The first S Series firmware update, V1.2, offers enhanced functionality and new tunings for all of the speakers based upon Adam Audio's continuous improvement program as well as feedback from existing users.

The S Control Software and first firmware update mark the debut of the MyAdam area of the company's website. Via the new MyAdam user area, the company aims to further enhance its excellent customer service by providing a place for them to receive enhancements, relevant information and insights, user manuals, downloads, and an easy way to directly engage with the audio community and Adam as a manufacturer of professional monitoring solutions. The MyAdam user area is available to owners of all Adam professional monitor speakers.

"Adam Audio has designed a powerful DSP platform for the S Series monitor range so it could be easily updated over time," says David Angress, Adam Audio chairman. "We are pleased to introduce our S Control Remote Control software, which will enable every S Series owner to always have the latest and most advanced firmware features to control the operation of their speakers."

The new flagship S Series range of monitors are the result of classic Adam craftsmanship combined with the latest engineering innovation, modern materials, and advanced DSP, and offer stunning clarity, low distortion, new woofer and mid-range driver designs, and the debut of the S-ART tweeter, a newer, even more precise version of Adam's renowned X-ART hand-built tweeter. The S Series is comprised of five models of increasing size, the S2V, S3H, S3V, and the largest-of-the-range S5V and S5H. Innovations created specifically for the S Series include: completely new, highly efficient long throw ELE extended linear excursion woofers; one-piece DCH dome/cone hybrid mid-range driver for excellent dispersion, low distortion, and high-power handling, newly designed waveguides for the tweeter and a high-power DSP engine, based on the very latest generation of SHARC chips, which provides crossover optimization, voicing options, and digital connectivity, providing expansion potential.
