Established for more than fifteen years, Lancashire PA Hire is a trusted supplier of audio systems for a wide range of events both locally and nationally. Well over a year ago Lancashire PA Hire took the decision to upgrade its large event system, and decided to invest in HK Audio products as owner Darryl Fraser explains: "To begin we had invested in six HK Audio L4000 subs and four Linear 5 LTS tops. They proved to be a real success, taking us through 2023 and enabling us to comfortably cover shows of 800+ audiences. The only minor gripe we had with the system was a lack of control, but we got round this issue with our Allen & Heath SQ5 desk. Then at the end of 2023 we spoke to Andy Taylor from SoVeryAPT who mentioned that HK Audio were releasing MKII versions of the Linear 5 range including a cardioid-capable single 18" sub, all controllable via DSP."

Without hesitation, Fraser ordered eight HK Audio Linear 5 MK II 118 HPA subs and four Linear 5 MK II 308 LTA mid/high units from SoVeryAPT, a customer of POLAR, UK distributor for HK Audio. According to Fraser, it's the been one of the best decisions Lancashire PA Hire has ever made:

We used it all at Burnley Live two weeks ago with the eight subs in cardioid, and we were blown away by how well it works. The system will be out non-stop on numerous festivals and events this summer. Since our recent investment, we've also bought a quantity of Linear 5 MK II 110s for monitors and have plans to invest in more HK Audio products this year."
