Starlite Employee Achieves Coveted Crestron Certified Master Programmer DesignationStarlite Productions' systems programmer, Mark Pacitti, has attained the coveted designation of "Crestron Certified Master Programmer." In 2007, when Pacitti first joined the firm, becoming a programmer wasn't on his radar and he hadn't even heard of Crestron. It all started in the Starlite warehouse, where he came across a touch panel that piqued his curiosity. After a bit of experimentation, Pacitti was able to teach himself how to program the panel to control the office lights, HVAC, audio, and video systems. He soon realized that he had a knack for programming and the company encouraged him to explore his new found passion by attending professional programming courses, which included classes at Crestron Technical Institute. In 2012, after having completed five levels of programming classes, logging 100+ hours of online and in-person education, and passing stringent testing, Pacitti received his certification as a Crestron Certified Programmer. Crestron invites certain certified programmers to continue their growth by offering them exclusive and specialized "Masters Classes" where they have the opportunity to complete various levels of training based on the number of exams and coursework completed. Starlite is proud to announce that Pacitti achieved the designation of Crestron Certified Master Programmer in April. Next year, after attending his third year of Masters Classes, and upon completion of the exam, Mark is expected to become one of only 189 Silver Master Programmers in North America which puts him in a truly select group of programming professionals. There are currently 38 Gold (6 years of Masters Classes), 10 Platinum (9 years of Masters Classes), and only one person at the rarified Diamond level (12 years of Masters Classes).
