Best Corporate A/V Project Awarded to Nautilus Entertainment Design at InfoComm 2011 Nautilus Entertainment Design (NED) is the recipient of the Best Corporate AV Project in the fourth annual PRO AV Spotlight Awards for its work on Qualcomm 25th Anniversary Museum. Pro AV and Architect magazines and InfoComm International announced the award at InfoComm 2011 in Orlando. Awards were given in fifteen categories for various types of A/V projects. A panel of Pro AV, Architect, and Architectural Lighting editors, contributors, and A/V systems integrators and consultants judged the entries. NED provided the A/V system design, along with the lighting design for the Qualcomm Museum including over 16 large-format interactive video kiosks and an integrated control system. The museum was designed to celebrate the 25 years of technological advancements of the company. Guests are invited to interactively explore the history as well as the future possibilities of Qualcomm technology. The exhibit concept and design was created by Showtec, Inc., of Poway, California. The "Historical Timeline" display area contains interactive kiosks that house a combination of ultra-high resolution video tiles with touch screen overlays, Qualcomm historical artifacts, and localized audio and lighting. The highlight of the "Future Area" contains a flush-mounted, curved video wall thirteen feet wide by 4' high. Nautilus Entertainment Design provides technical facility design for permanent installations, specializing in A/V and control systems and architectural and exhibit lighting. NED also provides lighting design for over 40 live events a year that include television specials, corporate shows and meetings, Vegas-style shows and spectacles. NED is best known for their theatre consulting work especially in the cruise ship industry providing design and consulting services for over thirty cruise ships, each containing sophisticated, entertainment facilities for showrooms, lounges and dance clubs.
