AVDG Appoints Timothy Hill as General Manager of AVDG's Eastern US Operations

Timothy Hill, AVDG

AVDG announces the appointment of industry veteran Timothy Hill, CTS-I, CTS-D, CCDA, to the position of general manager of the company's Eastern US operations. The announcement was made by Doug Carnell, vice president of business solutions at Guitar Center, AVDG's parent company, and further emphasizes AVDG's ongoing expansion in the commercial and residential market sectors.

Hill enters his new role at AVDG with significant experience spanning more than two decades in systems integration and technology design, where he has led teams of all sizes in the audiovisual and unified communications (UC) industries. In his new position as general manager, Hill will provide leadership at all levels of the organization, overseeing AVDG's expansion throughout the Eastern United States and leading day-to-day business operations at the company's offices in Nashua, New Hampshire; Boston, Massachusetts; and Naples, Florida, including hiring, training and mentoring department managers and employees.

"Timothy Hill is a tremendous asset for AVDG as we continue to expand our national presence into the North- and Southeast," says Carnell. "Tim is a proven leader with an extensive track record in business growth and operational management. He has a unique ability to lead not only sales professionals, but also senior level designers, installers, and support personnel. We're thrilled to have him join the AVDG team."

Prior to joining AVDG, Hill was global vice president of engineering at AVI-SPL, where he established engineering standards, overseeing the management of an international team of more than 350 personnel, consisting of pre- and post-sales engineers, solution architects, and CAD technicians. He was the founder of OmniPresence, an audiovisual and video conferencing integrator, from 2002 to 2011, where he served as the chief technology officer until its acquisition by Carousel Industries.

"I'm excited to be part of AVDG at a time of phenomenal growth," says Hill. "I look forward to working with the company's skilled teams to expand the company's commercial and residential business in the East. With the investments AVDG has made in both our infrastructure and our people, we are well positioned to continue to grow now and in the future."
