Elation Professional Raises Profile at Busy LDI 2013LDI Premier show sponsor Elation Professional enjoyed perhaps its busiest LDI event ever, November 22-24 in Las Vegas, as the company continued to raise its profile in the industry with a number of key product launches that included the surprise announcement of a distribution agreement with High End Systems. The agreement, which allows Elation to distribute High End's new HedgeHog 4 and Nano Hog 4 lighting consoles in the US, Canada, Latin America, South East Asia, and India, caused quite a stir on the show floor. "The distribution announcement started things off with a bang and really set the tone for the rest of the show," said Eric Loader, director of sales at Elation Lighting. "This gives us a powerful and intuitive industry-standard lighting control platform and we're thrilled to be involved with it. Customers were equally excited and interest in it was great throughout the show so our expectations are high." The HedgeHog 4 distribution announcement was only the beginning however as Elation unveiled new products across its popular Platinum lamp and LED product lines, as well as new control solutions -- more than 20 products in all. "Interest was especially high in our Platinum series with the new Platinum Profile 35 Pro, our first framing shutter fixture, as well as the Platinum Wash 16R wash/beam moving head getting a lot of attention," Loader states. "Along with the Rayzor Beam 2R, which is the smallest discharge lamp moving head in the lineup, the Platinum Series continues to make a name for itself." "On the LED side, the six models in the new CUEPIX series garnered a lot of interest. It's a breakthrough line of blinders, strip lights, and LED pars that utilizes our high-quality COB (chip on board) LED technology and customers can really see the quality difference. They have application in a wide variety of segments as well and we expect them to be very popular." Also keeping the Elation sales personnel busy was the SixPar IP series, Elation's new six-color multi-chip LED luminaire. Other new LED products that generated a lot of attention included the Lumina Strip and Lumina Matrix, an LED strip light and panel respectively, as well as a powerful new LED strobe, the Protron LED strobe. The RGBW Arena Par Zoom with 19 x 10W Quad Color RGBW CREE LEDs was popular as was a pair of dynamic white LED fixtures, the DW Profile and DW Fresnel. For the LED video screen panel offerings Elation presented four new products including the launch of a new touring series EPT9IP panel, as well as the EZ4 4mm pitch indoor screen and EPVIP series available in 3.9mm, 7.8mm, and 10.8mm pixel pitches. The HedgeHog 4 found its place alongside other new Elation control offerings at the show, including the release of the Emulation Pro software, MIDIcon Pro Controller, EWDMX IP Transceiver, and new Art-Net to DMX splitters, the eNode 8 pro and eNode 4. Loader summed up the successful show: "This year's LDI was exceptional and a real testament to the growing interest in our product range. Our busy booth and the success of our VIP night at Light nightclub on Friday night says something about the quality of our products and our sales team with the hard work they put in daily to grow the Elation brand. We continue to raise our profile across the board and that is very satisfying." See Elation Professional at PLASA Focus: Nashville, February 18 - 19, 2014.
