Durham Marenghi, ER Productions Collaborate on Student Open Days

The internationally known lighting designer Durham Marenghi and laser/special effects specialist firm ER Productions are hosting a series of open days at ER's Las Vegas office, January 27 - 31.

The days, titled Lasers as Light, are aimed at students but lighting designers and technicians who wish to learn about this aspect of their craft are also invited. In addition to getting hands-on experience with ER gear, Marenghi will give a presentation about using lasers as a unique and important light source.

Marenghi is known for lighting such events as the Olympics opening ceremonies, Queen Elizabeth II's golden and diamond jubilees, and London's New Year's Eve celebrations.

Breakout sessions will include:

Vis Suite 1: MA2 running BEYOND DMX Server Mode for lasers and effects in Depence RC

Vis Suite 1: FINALE 3D pyro programming session

Studio: Live laser setup: How to set zones, palettes, and create frames

Light refreshments and lunch will be provided.
