Bandit Lites Chair Michael T. Strickland Named to Inaugural Leadership Tennessee ClassThe inaugural class of the groundbreaking Leadership Tennessee was announced and it includes the founder and chair of Bandit Lites, Michael T. Strickland. Leadership Tennessee is the only statewide leadership education program in the state, cultivating a network of business, nonprofit, education, and government leaders who are committed to addressing the state's challenges and opportunities. Citizens with demonstrated community and professional leadership from every region of the state bring their diverse backgrounds and experiences to an in-depth exploration of the complex issues facing Tennessee, with a focus on how leaders can collaborate to effectively address them. The opening event will be held in August and centered around a meeting with Governor Bill Haslam. When asked about being a part of the historic startup of such an important initiative, Strickland said, "I am humbled and honored to have been chosen to participate in such a prestigious group and promise to engage and deliver on the tasks at hand." Strickland is an alumnus of Leadership Knoxville, Society of International Business Fellows, CNN USA Entrepreneur of the Year, University of Tennessee College of Business Distinguished Alumni, Chair of the Knoxville Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors, and sits on numerous other boards.
