Apollo Design Technology Fire Update: Blue Pony and Avid Labs Still Online

	Fire breaks out at Apollo Design Technology in Fort Wayne, Indiana.

Yesterday, LSA reported the fire that broke out at Apollo Design Technology in Fort Wayne, Indiana early Wednesday. Since then, we've heard from Joel Nichols, the company's chief innovation engineer.

"As many have heard we had a devastating fire at our facilities," Nichols writes. "The Fort Wayne Fire department did an incredible job fighting this for seven hours to finally contain it. In the process the second floor collapsed. We believe this will be a total loss." He adds that the fire is being treated as a case of arson. Blessedly, there have been on injuries, either among staff or first responders.

However, the company's Blue Pony motion media design is still functioning, and its Avid Labs production design division will be online in a few days. Otherwise, Nichols estimates that it will be early 2021 before Apollo itself is back up and running. He adds, "For any gobo needs please call Rosco or Goboman.
