Katy Perry's Dark Horse Meets RCF's Workhorse Earlier this year, International pop sensation Katy Perry performed a free concert in the small but prominent town of Bright in Victoria's North East. "Fight On" was a family-friendly event held to thank emergency services and first responders to Australia's recent bushfire crisis. An exceptional popstar needs exceptional sound, and this is where local production specialist Densal Audio was able to deliver. A formidable array of RCF's first-class workhorse HDL 20-A units were flown on both sides of the stage, an immense 11 units per side. Front fill was provided by groupings of RCF's TT 22-A II high definition point source speakers. Highlighting their versatility, side, and rear fill was provided by further sets of HDL 20-A units, ground-stacked into small arrays to ensure coverage from all angles of the Pioneer Park Recreation Reserve. The HDL 20-A is an active line array module with a compact form factor, suitable for both touring and install applications. The units are capable of delivering high-quality tour sound and superior loudness, whilst minimizing space requirements. Featuring two 10" woofers and a 3" compression driver, and weighing in at only 30kg, each unit is capable of an impressive 135dB SPL. These particular units found their way to Densal Audio thanks to Factory Sound, one of Australia's leading retailers in professional audio equipment. Perry's one-hour performance had children and adults alike bopping to her extensive catalog of chart-topping hits -- with the clarity and punch of RCF's powerful line array technology soaking up a good portion of the well-earned limelight.
