Fisher-Dachs Names Madaski Head of Stage Rigging and Automation

Scott Madaski

Scott Madaski has been promoted to head of Fisher Dachs Associates' stage rigging and automation department. In a statement, the firm says, "Those who have worked with Scott know his deep expertise in stage rigging and his passion for creating innovative and reliable solutions. He has demonstrated outstanding leadership, guiding our team in designing cutting-edge automation systems for theatres worldwide."

Madaski joined FDA in 2013, having spent most of the previous two decades as a technician, production rigger, production manager, entertainment technical supervisor, and consultant for several major cruise lines.

He was FDA's principal rigging and automation designer on David Geffen Hall and NYU's John A. Paulson Center in New York, several Norwegian Cruise Line ships, the Steelhouse in Omaha, Rice University's Brockman Hall for Opera in Houston, the Yale Schwarzman Center in New Haven, Milwaukee's Bradley Symphony Center, and the Prior Center for the Performing Arts at the College of the Holy Cross in Massachusetts, among many other projects.

Madaski has also worked domestically, touring with major Broadway shows, as a member of the installation and show crew for the 1996 Olympic Ceremonies in Atlanta, Georgia, and spending several years as the production rigger for Harley-Davidson. He has designed and managed unique manual and automated performer flying systems for Sight & Sound Theatres, The Power Station Club in Singapore, and the original Broadway production of Curtains. He received his MFA in technical direction and production from Northern Illinois University.
