SGM North America Announces Marisa Abbott as Specifications Manager SGM Light A/S, Denmark-based professional lighting manufacturer, is pleased to announce that Marisa Abbott has joined the SGM North American team as specifications manager. Abbott, based in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, brings a lighting design background and a degree in theatre design and technology from UW-Stevens Point to her role with SGM Lighting. She spent five years designing around Wisconsin; lighting theatre, live events, trade shows, dance, scenery, and architecture. During that time, Abbott also held roles as head electrician and as a scenic artist. Prior to freelancing, she worked with Electronic Theatre Controls in project management. "There's something so special about bringing architectural projects to life with light. I've always loved the quality, superior color, intensity, and customer support that comes with putting SGM products on a job, and I'm excited to serve as a resource to the community in more projects to come," says Abbott. Abbott, who will be working with the SGM North America installs team, will be playing a lead role supporting and developing the architectural specification community. "Marisa brings a passion for lighting, empathetic problem solving, new ideas, and an eagerness to help the specification community realize great projects," says Doug Tuttrup, VP of sales for installs for SGM North America.
