Rosco Laboratories Celebrates the Legacy of Stan Schwartz at LDI 2019Rosco Laboratories will honor the life and career of its long-time executive vice president, Stan Schwartz, with a toast at the LDI Tradeshow and Conference. The event will be held at 4:30pm PST on Friday, November 22nd inside the Lighting and Sound America booth (#749). In order to recognize the influence that Schwartz had on the entertainment lighting industry, Rosco is inviting anyone in attendance at LDI 2019 to join them as they raise a glass in his memory. Speakers at the event will include Mark Engel, Rosco CEO, and other industry executives who were influenced by Schwartz. About Schwartz -- Schwartz started his journey with Rosco as a marketing consultant in 1970. He officially joined the company as an employee in 1981 and continued as their executive vice president until his retirement in 2013. During his years with Rosco, the company saw tremendous growth and development, much of which the company attributes to Schwartz's efforts. Schwartz was direct, sometimes harshly so, though it was never personal. He had his opinions -- he wasn't shy about sharing them, and he was never afraid to speak up when he was right. Schwartz was also the first to give a compliment, dole out accolades, and give credit where credit was due. Upon his retirement, Schwartz says, "I loved every minute of it. That's mostly because of you, the people with whom I've worked. I have been constantly stimulated by my colleagues; they bring a keen intellectual edge to their work and remain passionate about it." While Schwartz recognized this in his Rosco colleagues, he truly exemplified that edge and passion and inspired it within others. Schwartz's legacy will continue at Rosco, and throughout the entertainment lighting industry, through the wisdom and insight he bestowed to all who were fortunate enough to know him.
