LIGHTCONVERSE V52, with VectorWorks Functionality, Released LIGHTCONVERSE 3D Show Platform Version 52 has been released, providing what the company says is a powerful photo-realistic solution for integrating and visualizing multiple show related disciplines in real-time, including lighting, video (in and out), 3D mapping, laser, pyro, water effects, and moving objects. New features include are the software's integration with VectorWorks 2011/12 (PC and Mac versions), providing the ability to do your design and paperwork in VectorWorks before exporting directly to LightConverse in order to see your work truly come alive; a real-time live object tracking system, which allows performers and objects such as moving set pieces and video screens to be automatically followed by moving fixtures and projectors during their movements on stage; and an increase in fixture capacity to 1,536 devices within 96 DMX universes. Possible applications include design and programming of entertainment events, architectural projects, sales presentations and virtual television studios with multiple camera views. Other features include 96 channels per fixture; TUIO output from 3D interactive tracking; the ability to capture any window from another program as a texture or filter source; a new video memory manager especially designed for Windows-7 Aero; wind and precision FOV controls in camera dialog, new wiggle stereo 3D glasses mode, to view your 3D show in 3D; accurate pixel-mapping capabilities; solutions for common video projection problems with the 3D mapping engine, and frame rates between 25-60 frames per second when running up to 1,536 fixtures in real time.
