Environmental Lights Launches New RS232 to DMX ConverterEnvironmental Lights announces the launch of their new RS232 to DMX Converter for the A/V industry. The RS232 to DMX Converter is billed as the ideal tool for AV integrators who want to incorporate low voltage LED lighting into their whole-house control systems. It receives the RS232 signal from the master control system and converts it into a DMX signal which can then be routed through DMX decoders to control low voltage lighting. The RS232 to DMX Converter serves a crucial link by essentially translating lighting instructions sent via RS232 into DMX and makes it easier than ever for integrators to add low voltage lighting to their projects, the company says. "The RS232 to DMX Converter was designed to allow advanced A/V control systems to easily integrate and control a range of low voltage lighting solutions from Environmental Lights", says Jordan Brooks, president of Environmental Lights. "It is ideal for AV integrators looking to add more low voltage linear accent lighting to their projects." RS232 to DMX Converter allows system integrators to add and control tunable white and color changing low voltage LED lighting to installations that utilize advanced lighting control systems such as Control4, Crestron, ELAN, Lutron, and Savant. The converter receives a RS232 data signal and outputs a DMX signal that enables users to control low voltage LED lights from a whole-house control system. It can also be powered by a wide range of input voltages from 9-24VDC and supports up to 512 Channels, allowing for more flexibility with DMX decoders, the company says. Product Features: *Input voltage: 9, 12, or 24 VDC *Supports up to 512 Channels *Durable aluminum case *CE and RoHS Compliant *Ships with 9V driver
