Coolux Widget Designer at the Eurovision Song Contest

The coolux Widget Designer 3.0 PRO was used at this year's Eurovision Song Contest to control the three DVI-matrixes (32x32, 16x16, 8x8). In case of unforeseen circumstances, the Widget Designer could also have been used to easily change over to VPU backup systems.

In addition to this, the KVM Switch and the preview for the VPU-supervisor and the operator were being controlled by the Widget Designer as well.

The Eurovision Song Contest is one of Europe's traditional TV highlights, where a great number of nations compete with one another to show which has the best performers. Previous winners include Céline Dion and ABBA.
