Elation to Show a Wide Range of Lighting/Video/Software Products at InfoComm 2013

Elation Professional's Rayzor Q12 LED moving head fixture

With professional lighting and video being used in an ever-widening range of applications, Elation Professional will be unveiling products that give AV pros the power to take their designs to new places -- both literally and creatively -- at InfoComm 2013, held in Orlando, Florida at the Orange County Convention Center, June 12-14. From battery-powered go-anywhere RGBW fixtures, to software that makes it easy to create lighting designs like a seasoned pro, to high-resolution IP-rated outdoor versions of the company's popular LED video screens, Elation will be displaying possibility-expanding innovations at its InfoComm booth 5759.

Volt Q3 & Volt Q5 -- These RGBW LED color-changing fixtures, which run on a rechargeable lithium-ion battery, can be taken anywhere, no power cords required. Their built-in battery will last up to 8-12 hours between charges, and because they're also equipped with a wireless DMX receiver (compatible with Elation's EWDMX or W-DMX wireless transmitters), these fixtures free the user from the constraints of DMX cables as well. Powered by three (Volt Q3) and five (Volt Q5) 15W 100,000-hour quad-color LEDs (red, green, blue, white), they include color mixing, a rainbow effect, a 7- to 13-degree, eight auto program chase effects, 0-100% dimming, variable strobe, and more.

Rayzor Q7 and Rayzor Q12 -- The smallest and fastest LED moving head ever created by Elation, the Rayzor Q7 delivers brightness for its size (11lb, 9.25" x 5.5" x 12.5"), a razor-sharp 7-degree beam angle, smooth quad-color RGBW color-mixing, and new high-speed three-phase motor technology. Powered by seven 15W OSRAM four-in-one (red, green, blue, white) LEDs, the Rayzor Q7 also offers the added eye candy of four-zone chase effects. For applications that require greater output, there's the more powerful Rayzor Q12 with 12 15W four-in-one RGBW LEDs (producing up to 5,840 lux at five meters) and some great new features such as a rainbow effect.

Satura Spot LED Pro -- This moving head spot's 300W LED engine produces RGBW-blended colors that are comparable in output to a 575W discharge fixture. With a 12- to 38-degree zoom; two gobo wheels; three-facet rotating prism; frost filter; iris; motorized focus; and 540-/630-degree pan, 245-degree tilt, the Satura Spot LED Pro puts powerful creative tools in designers' hands too. A built-in wireless EWDMX receiver, three DMX channel modes, a microphone for sound activated programs, stand-alone operation with master-slave function, and multi-voltage capabilities (AC 100-240V, 50/60Hz) provide many options for configuring and operating this color machine.

Capture Lighting Design Software - Now users can create professional lighting designs -- and show them to customers before plugging in a single fixture! Elation has become the North American distributor for Sweden-based Capture Visualisation AB's Capture lighting design and documentation software. Available in versions for Windows and Mac OS X, Capture software is known for being easy to work with and having a minimal learning curve. Featuring a built-in library of more than 6,000 fixtures from all major lighting manufacturers, it gives lighting professionals the ability to work in real-time with all elements of their design -- lighting, truss system, state, and scenery -- providing a streamlined environment for their creativity. Capture software is offered in three affordable versions, with no annual subscription fees required.

Emulation Pro -- Elation will be showing for the first time its new Emulation Pro Software, which will use the company's ART SSC control boxes for output to unleash a complete professional grade lighting control solution for larger applications. A cross-platform software, Emulation Pro can run on native MAC OS, Windows, or Linux computers. The software features industry standard cuelist system with output up to 16 Universes of Art-Net / DMX as well as multiple input device options such as MIDI, SMPTE, Art-Net, UDP, OSC, MTC, RS232, and GPI to allow complete show control integration. It includes the added software features of a powerful matrix pixel mapping engine with multiple layers, groups, pallets, and a timeline editor for pre-programmed show playback.

New LED Video Screens -- Elation will be adding several new IP-rated high resolution panels to its popular EPV video screen series. Called the EPVIP Series, these new models will give designers the flexibility to create hi-res video walls outdoors. Additionally, the company's EZ Video Panel Series is expanding with the addition of two new models, the EZ4 and EZ8.
