Musique Xpress Lights Reflects Fearless Creativity of Tainy with Chauvet ProfessionalWhen Marcos Efrain Masis Fernandez, known professionally as Tainy, and Lex Borrero teamed up to launch their music company Neon16, "a multifaceted talent incubator" in 2019, they adopted the motto "fear nothing, impact everything." This bold attitude was on full display at Coliseo de Puerto Rico Jose Miguel Agrelot during Data Loading, the highly anticipated show from Tainy. The multi-Grammy winning songwriter and sound engineer, mesmerized the sellout crowd with a full throttled performance, during which he was joined by stars like Bad Bunny, Rauw, Alejandro Jhayco, Young Miko, Arcangel, and Alvaro Diaz. Helping to rev up the fearless energy on stage was a relentless, fast-moving lighting design by Richard Vicens and ShowVault that utilized a 450-fixture rig from Musique Xpress Lights. Most of the rig was made up of Chauvet Professional products, including the Color STRIKE M motorized strobe-wash, Maverick Force 2 Profile, Maverick Storm 2 BeamWash hybrid, Rogue Outcast 1 BeamWash hybrid, WELL STX 180 LED tube, EPIX Strip IP, EPIX Drive 2000 IP, and the W-DMX Micro T-1 TRX G6 transistors. "This show broke all the visual expectations," says Vicens. "Conceptually unique cue effects and lighting transported the audience to the precise moment that was sought within the musical history of the artist." Turning to the individual fixture in the rig, Vicens notes, "The Color STRIKE Ms were used to mark many of the beat cuts and create eye candy effects in the songs. The Force 2 Profiles were used to wash Tainy using his shutter frames and for aerial and texture effects in the audience The Storm 2 BeamWashes were used for general stage wash and at the same time to achieve eye candy effects with the camera ring." In the end, the concert was not only a musical event, but also an unforgettable experience that marked a before and after in the entertainment industry in Puerto Rico. From the lighting design to the impeccable execution, every detail contributed to the success of the show. Vicens sums it up this way: "It was a concert that marked and raised the standards of a production by not skimping on resources to be able to celebrate a concert that will remain in the memory of all those who were there."
