XL Video Invests in New d3 Pro RangeXL Video UK announces a large investment in d3 Technologies' pro range of media servers, adding 12 new units to its inventory. With the addition of the new units to its existing fleet, the company says XL Video is now the largest rental providers of d3 media servers worldwide. The company has made the investment as a result of growing demand for d3 from all sectors of the rental market including concert touring and events agencies. To ensure XL Video is able to provide the highest level of support for the new d3 machines, XL's media server and control systems manager, Christian Dickens, has become a d3 certified trainer. As well as providing training, XL Video has a team of in-house technicians with high-level d3 expertise who can provide support with 3D modeling and previsualization for shows, enabling clients to see how their show will look, even from the early design stage. XL's Dickens comments: "We are seeing growing demand from our clients for this incredibly powerful and highly reliable media server. We've made a commitment to develop our expertise with the d3 system so we can assist our clients to take full advantage of all of d3's features." The new d3 units will be located in the UK and with XL's touring team in Los Angeles, ensuring availability on both sides of the Atlantic.
