Eighteen Sound's NCX Neo Coaxial Speakers Now Shipping

Eighteen Sound is now shipping the NCX high performance neodymium coaxial speakers. The family is comprised of two models, the 12" format 12NCX750 and the 15" diameter 15NCX750.

NCX coaxial speakers have been designed for compact reflex enclosures and stage monitor applications. They each have a nominal dispersion of 80 degrees.

The 75mm (3") LF copper voice coil employs Eighteen Sound's interleaved sandwich voice coil (ISV) technology, implementing a high strength former with windings on both the outer and inner surfaces. In order to maintain the same sonic signature, both models employ the 60mm (2.4") diameter HF titanium diaphragm assuring exceptional high frequency behavior. A specific HF exit profile design maximizes coupling with the cone.

The high force neodymium ring magnet motor allows the NCX coaxial family to be extremely lightweight for their performance class, with their weights at 4.7kg (10.36lb) for the 12NCX750 and 5.1kg (11.24lb) for the 15NCX750.
