The Action Family of Products Grows

D.A.S. announces the introduction of a new single 18" subwoofer system into its popular Action series of products. The new low-frequency unit is aimed at the mobile DJ and portable systems market.

The Action 118A is a powered horn-bass subwoofer system designed to provide extended bass response for the Action full-range cabinets. A powerful 3200 Wpeak amplifier drives a single D.A.S. 18LX long excursion bass loudspeaker incorporating a 4" voice coil for high power handling.

The Action 118A is powered by a Class D amplifier with switch mode power supply, digital signal processing, and a 3200 Wpeak power rating. The amplifier has a unique EQ switch which allows the user to select a "Deep" sub-bass response or a "Loud" bass response. The system includes two balanced inputs with stereo filtered output connections for satellite systems. The variable crossover ranges from 100Hz - 160Hz and can be defeated to offer stereo "loop thru" connections. A gain control and polarity reverse feature increase user control over the system.

The Action 118A cabinet is manufactured using birch plywood and is finished with a coating of ISO-flex black paint for durability. Handles on the sides and the rear of the cabinet along with two rear located wheels make moving the box easier. The powder-coated steel front grille protects the D.A.S. components.
