Chauvet Professional Nexus 4x4 Nominated for the 2013 Parnelli Indispensable Technology Award

Chauvet Professional's NEXUS 4x4 LED display fixture has been nominated for a 2013 Parnelli Indispensable Technology Award, to be decided at the 2013 LDI show in Las Vegas, Nevada, November 22-24, 2013.

The Nexus 4x4 LED display fixture, nominated by submissions to the Parnelli Awards advisory board, has become a mainstay in LED lighting in broadcast television and concert touring across the world.

"We are honored to be nominated for the 2013 Parnelli Indispensable Technology Award again this year," said Albert Chauvet, president for Chauvet. "This nomination confirms Nexus' place in the broadcast and touring industries, and we are honored to receive a nomination again this year."

Parnelli Awards voting is open to the readership of Production, Lights, and Staging News Magazine and FOH Magazine, two industry publications, and closes October 31, 2013.

Nexus 4x4 is a bold, tour-ready wash light delivering pixel mapping display and a robust light output afforded by 16 27W RGB COB LEDs. The combination of COB emitters and a clever reflector design yields a striking, diffused light richly drenched in saturated hues. "These panels allow for great versatility with their bright RGB LEDs and the pixel-mapping capabilities. Nexus 4x4 is an awesome fixture with tons of options for uses," says Erik Parker, lighting director for One Republic.

Nexus 4x4 is controllable via Art-Net, Kling-Net, and DMX protocols and features interlocking hardware to build large arrays. Whether in use for front viewing or as a backdrop, Nexus 4x4 promises a hard-to-match visual impact. "When we were testing the booth for the first time at PRG, everybody came out to have a look; that says a lot for me," says Tiësto creative director Koen De Puysseleir. Since its introduction in 2012, Nexus 4x4 has been featured in several high profile projects including NBC's The Voice, Justin Bieber and Taylor Swift, Kaskade's Atmosphere tour, Tiësto, and Coachella Music Festival. Recent installations include the 2013 MTV Video Music Awards with Miley Cyrus and Robin Thicke, the Billboard Music Awards, the Orange Bowl Stadium in Miami, and the ANZ Stadium in Australia.
